BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Several workers compensation industry insiders have announced plans to launch WorkCompCollege.com LLC in the fall, providing training for workers comp professionals, emphasizing “soft skills” of whole-person recovery management on a virtual, on-demand technology platform.

The core curriculum will include courses in the claims, stakeholders, legal, regulatory/legislative, clinical, Return to Work, and humanities departments. Graduates of the national program will receive a “Workers’ Recovery Professional,” or WRP, certification created by WorkCompCollege.com.

The platform is the result of a partnership among Robert Wilson, Bradenton, Florida-based founding partner, president and CEO of WorkersCompensation.com, who will serve as the platform’s president; Mark Pew, Peachtree Corners, Georgia-based founder of The RxProfessor LLC consulting firm, who will serve as the school’s provost; and Donald Abrams, Austin, Texas-based president and CEO of Clinical Compensation Consultants, who will function as chief financial officer.

A Board of Trustees was announced recently, comprised of eight workers compensation professionals, including those working with state regulators, attorneys, claims managers and insurers.
