Nothing to like about latest Facebook scam

The Better Business Bureau is warning consumers of the latest Facebook scam: one of your friends sends you a message stating they saw your name on a list of people who have thousands of dollars in unclaimed workers compensation.

The first question one should ask themselves before getting excited about a windfall is: Have I been injured at work?

Common sense aside, it appears people are falling for this one.

According to the BBB, a scammer impersonates a victim’s Facebook friend and sends a message, in which they also provide the phone number of a person who can help them collect the money. That agent will then ask for up-front fees to wire money and forms to fill out.
