Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance’s net income slides

South Korea-based insurer Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance Co. Ltd.’s net income decreased by more than 5% year-on-year to 409 billion South Korean won ($319 million) in the first quarter of the year due to a higher base effect, Yonhap News Agency reported. Insurance premiums increased slightly by 0.7% to KRW4.88 trillion.
