Reinsurer develops Turkey-focused cat modeling platform

State-owned Turkish reinsurer Turk Reasurans AS has unveiled a new catastrophic modelling platform dubbed CATMOD, to help insurers and reinsurers obtain more accurate information about their risk exposures to natural disasters and earthquakes in Turkey, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing Insurance Gazette. The platform is expected to be used during the 2023 reinsurance renewals.
