Alliant names executive vice president for specialty

Alliant Insurance Services Inc. said Friday that Michael Cusack has been promoted to executive vice president, senior managing director at Alliant Specialty.

Based in Boston, Mr. Cusack will oversee all of Alliant’s 13 specialty groups. Previously, he was an executive vice president. 

He takes over the role from Peter Arkley, who was recently promoted to the newly created position of president of Alliant retail property/casualty.

Alliant is the 10th-largest broker of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s most recent ranking.
