Staff shortage forces Scandinavian Airlines to cancel 4,000 flights

Scandinavian Airlines, the flag carrier of Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, plans to cancel around 4,000 flights this summer due to delayed aircraft deliveries and staff shortages, Daijiworld reported citing Dagens Industri and Xinhua. The staff shortages are mainly the result of the airline laying off around 5,000 employees when demand for international and domestic flights started declining to the COVID-19 pandemic.
