AGCS recruits property leader from AIG

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty SE on Wednesday named American International Group Inc. underwriting leader Mike Martin as global head of property, effective May 16.

Mr. Martin, who will be based in Atlanta, succeeds Maria Grace, who left AGCS in late 2021. He will report to Shanil Williams, chief underwriting officer corporate.

Mr. Martin is currently chief underwriting officer – U.S. retail property at AIG and has over 35 years’ experience in international property underwriting.

Property accounted for around 11 percent of AGCS’s global gross written premium of €9.5 billion ($10.02 billion) in 2021.  

Meanwhile, Srdjan Todorovic has been promoted to head of global political violence and hostile environment solutions in London, AGCS, a unit of Allianz SE, said.

Mr. Todorovic succeeds Björn Reußwig, who is leaving AGCS to pursue interests outside of the company from July 1. Mr. Todorovic is currently head of crisis management, regional unit London and joined AGCS in 2015 as head of terrorism.
