Zurich North America on Tuesday named former Willis Towers Watson PLC executive Alicia Pavelko and Molly Dorsett, previously of Chubb Ltd., to newly created sustainability roles in its construction and energy teams.

Ms. Pavelko has rejoined Zurich as head of construction innovation and sustainability, reporting to Kelly Kinzer, head of construction for U.S. national accounts.

Ms. Pavelko, based in Minneapolis, will manage Zurich’s sustainability coverages including weather parametric, mass timber and alternative energy and develop new construction products. She previously was a client advocate, senior broker in the construction practice at Willis.

Ms. Dorsett has also rejoined Zurich as head of U.S. energy casualty renewables, reporting to Jeanne Jankowski, head of U.S. energy casualty for U.S. national accounts.

Based in Houston, Ms. Dorsett will develop strategic direction and product needs for Zurich’s growing renewable energy practice that supports wind, solar and other types of renewable energy. She previously served as vice president, regional underwriting manager at Chubb.

Zurich has also recruited Nicholas Haller, previously a senior vice president at Haller-Zaremba Insurance Agency, to the newly created position of lead underwriter of U.S. renewable energy property.

Mr. Haller, who is based in New York, will report to Robert Edel, underwriting manager for U.S. energy property.

“These new roles underscore our commitment to further develop products and services that help our customers both mitigate and adapt to climate-related risks,” Paul Lavelle, head of U.S. national accounts for Zurich North America, said in a statement.

All three executives will work closely with the office of sustainability underwriting, formed by Zurich last year, that is led by Mark Way.
