Indian general insurance sector to see up to 12% growth

India-based credit rating agency ICRA Ltd. expects the local general insurance industry’s aggregate premium to increase by 10% to 12% in fiscal year ending March 31, 2023, driven by commercial and health insurance segments, Daijiworld reported citing IANS. Meanwhile, ICRA has warned that the current geopolitical crisis and economic uncertainty due to structural challenges in the automobile industry could affect the industry’s growth.
