Crane company halts production due to supply chain woes

Japanese crane manufacturer Tadano is suspending production at its factories in Germany and Japan due to supply chain disruptions driven by the ongoing semiconductor shortage, COVID-19 lockdowns in China and the war in Ukraine, The Construction Index reported. While Tadano’s German units have already halted operations since April 12, the company’s factories in Kozai and Shido in Japan will suspend operations between May 9 and 13.
