Insurers call for new standards to protect businesses from cyberattacks

The Insurance Council of Australia is seeking support on the cyber cover gap and is calling for new standards to better protect Australian businesses from cyberattacks, The Canberra Times reported citing Australian Associated Press. The body is calling for minimum security requirements and mandatory third-party certifications for software and hardware and has also recommended investment incentives for education around cyber risk.
