Zurich North America announces promotions

Zurich North America on Monday said Chief Claims Officer Paul Lavelle has been named to succeed Paul Horgan as head of U.S. national accounts, and Farmers Insurance Group Inc. Personal Lines President Keith Daly will succeed Mr. Lavelle, effective April 1.
Mr. Lavelle, who has been Zurich North America chief claims officer since 2018, will report to Kristof Terryn, CEO of Zurich North America, with dual reporting to Sierra Signorelli, CEO of commercial insurance for Zurich Insurance Group. He will be responsible for all large commercial and specialties business in the United States.
Mr. Daly, who has been president of personal lines for Farmers Insurance, a Zurich unit, since 2018 and prior to that was Farmers’ chief claims officer, will report to Mr. Terryn.
Mr. Horgan will stay on through the next year as senior adviser to Mr. Terryn before retiring.
