Senate Bill 5791 focuses on fire fighters and police officers who entered the service between 1969 and October 1977. The bill, which passed unanimously in both houses, would give retirees a check of $100 per month of service, and a minimum of $20,000 for those gravely injured or disabled in the line of duty.
