Ukraine war to hit political violence, marine and credit insurance lines

Khaled El-Sayed, managing director of Apex-Egypt Reinsurance Brokerage, expects the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine to significantly affect political violence, commercial credit and marine insurance contracts that offer war insurance coverage, Middle East Insurance Review reported citing Al Mal. Mr. El-Sayed expects reinsurers to increase rates on property insurance policies that offer war insurance coverage, as claims are expected to mount.
