Eli Manning huddles on risk management strategy

Two-time Super Bowl champion Eli Manning may have the playbook on everything football, but he also knows a bit about risk.
At a party hosted by insurtech Coalition Inc. on Tuesday night in New York, Mr. Manning offered his tips on how to avoid and manage risk in football.
In the quarterback position, it’s all about knowing the assignment of your other players, what the offensive linemen are doing and who they’re blocking, Mr. Manning said.
The biggest risks for a quarterback are when they’re dropping back. “By knowing the rules, you eliminate some of those risks of taking a hit or an injury,” he said.
Clearly, Mr. Manning’s risk management strategy paid off, with no concussions or serious injuries during his 16 seasons with the New York Giants.
