QBE launches new unit to underwrite sustainable energy projects

Australia-based insurer QBE Insurance Group Ltd. has launched a new sustainable energy unit that will underwrite businesses transitioning to low carbon energy, The Switzerland Times reported. The new unit will leverage QBE’s underwriting capabilities across construction, operations, property and casualty and directors and officers liability lines. It will cover hydrogen, ammonia, hydropower, solar, stationary and floating wind power, and carbon capture and sequestration projects.
