Axa announces energy property promotion

Axa XL, a division of Axa SA, said Thursday it has promoted Scott Dalton to head up its energy property insurance business in the Americas.

Mr. Dalton fills the position previously held by Greg Joyce, who left the company last year. He will report to Michele Sansone, Axa XL’s chief underwriting officer, property.

Based in New York, Mr. Dalton will have underwriting management responsibility for Axa XL’s book of property insurance for energy businesses including oil and gas, power generation, process industries and chemical companies.

Mr. Dalton was previously senior underwriter and joined Axa XL in 2006.
