Risk Strategies buys New Mexico broker

Risk Strategies Co. said Wednesday it has acquired specialist broker Burke Insurance Group LLC.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Las Cruces, New Mexico-based Burke specializes in the surety bond, construction, and oil and gas sectors in New Mexico and West Texas, Risk Strategies said in a statement. The broker’s website shows three employees.
The deal is Risk Strategies’ first in New Mexico.
Boston-based Risk Strategies, which is the trading name of RSC Insurance Brokerage Inc., is the 16th largest brokerage of U.S. business, according to Business Insurance’s latest ranking.
