CMS affirms vaccine deadline for health care workers in 24 states

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued updated guidance Jan. 14 for enforcement of the agency's health care worker COVID-19 vaccination mandate, including that covered providers must ensure their employees are fully vaccinated by March 15, Becker’s Hospital Review reports. With the recent Supreme Court ruling, health care providers must adhere to the March 15 deadline in the 24 states covered by the decision.
