COVID-19, supply chain issues expected hurdles for insurers

Alex Derham, a senior associate at U.K.-based law firm Reynolds Porter Chamberlain LLP, said that COVID-19 restrictions, potential challenges in the property market, supply chain problems and inflation could pose challenges for insurers in Asia this year, Asia Insurance Review reported. The longer-term COVID-19 effects are likely to continue in the form of insolvencies, potentially leading to a further increase in directors and officers liability insurance and trade credit claims.
