Intact Financial estimates nearly $150 million in cat loss

Canadian property and casualty insurer Intact Financial Corp. has estimated $186 million ($149.3 million) in pre-tax catastrophe losses for the fourth quarter of 2021, The Deep Dive reported. The losses were mainly attributed to the heavy storm and floods that ravaged British Columbia in November 2021.
