Qatar Airways Co. QCSC recently filed a lawsuit in London, seeking $618 million in compensation from plane manufacturer Airbus SE for paint issues on Airbus A350 aircraft that allegedly compromise the jet’s airworthiness, Business Insider reported citing Reuters and Aviation International News. The airline has grounded more than 20 Airbus A350 planes since August 2021, citing safety concerns resulting from cracking and peeling of aircrafts’ paint.
