COVID-19, Brexit dent UK firms’ export demand

A new report has found that Brexit and COVID-19 related challenges and restrictions adversely affected U.K.-based factories’ export demand at the end of 2021, The Guardian reported. The report by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply and IHS Markit said that supply-chain disruptions and resulting cost spikes along with staff shortages affected the U.K.-based manufacturers’ operations in December.
