Portugal’s largest media firm faces ransomware attack

Ransomware gang Lapsus$ hacked into Portugal’s largest media conglomerate Impresa SGPS SA’s system over the New Year weekend, disrupting Impresa-owned SIC TV’s internet streaming transmission, ITP reported citing TheRecord. The gang defaced all Impresa sites with a ransom note and also claimed to have gained access to Impresa’s Amazon Web Services account.
