Corvus buys Lloyd’s cyber underwriting platform

Insurtech Corvus Insurance Holdings Inc. said Tuesday it will expand internationally with its acquisition of London-based Tarian Underwriting Ltd., a cyber underwriting platform that underwrites on behalf of a consortium of Lloyd’s of London syndicates.
Terms of its purchase from London-based Beat Capital Partners Inc., a venture capital company, were not disclosed.
Tarian, whose international footprint covers the United Kingdom, the United States, the Middle East, Canada and Australia, will be rebranded as Corvus Underwriting Ltd., Boston-based Corvus said in a statement.
Tarian has been underwriting cyber and technology errors and omissions insurance risks since 2016, the statement said.
