Aspen announces executive changes

Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. has promoted Christian Dunleavy to the newly created role of group chief underwriting officer and announced a series of senior executive changes effective Jan. 1.

The changes were announced Wednesday by Aspen Executive Chairman and Group CEO Mark Cloutier in an internal note to staff and in a 6K SEC filing.

Mr. Dunleavy currently serves as chief underwriting officer of Aspen Re, CEO of Aspen Bermuda Ltd. and chief underwriting officer of Aspen Bermuda Ltd. He is based in Hamilton, Bermuda, and joined Aspen in 2015.

Andrew Rippert, currently executive vice president, head of mortgage, will succeed Mr. Dunleavy as chief underwriting officer for Aspen Re. Mr. Rippert, based in Boston, will also become a member of the group executive committee.

Beatrice Morley will become head of international reinsurance, based in Singapore. Ms. Morley is currently global head of casualty.

Ms. Morley will oversee Zurich, in addition to Singapore and Australia/New Zealand in the new role.

Mark Pickering has been promoted to CEO of Aspen Bermuda Ltd. Mr. Pickering will retain his current responsibilities as group chief capital management officer and treasurer.
