A former Las Vegas nightclub and a management services company have agreed to pay $1 million to settle a sexual harassment charge filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the agency said Monday,

The EEOC said in a charge filed in January 2017 that SBEEC Holdings LLC, which conducted business as Hyde Bellagio, subjected female applicants and employees to sexual harassment and created a hostile work environment. The charge also alleged the nightclub engaged in unlawful retaliation. Also named was Los Angeles-based Spoonful Management LV LLC.

The EEOC said the alleged conduct violated Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

The charge was resolved through the EEOC’s pre-litigation administrative conciliation process, the agency said.

Hyde Bellagio agreed to enter into a three-year conciliation agreement with the EEOC without admitting liability, the agency said.

In addition to paying the settlement, Hyde Bellagio has agreed to establish a class fund to compensate female applicants and employees subjected to sexual harassment, among other settlement provisions, the EEOC said.

Spoonful Management did not respond to a request for comment.
