Risk Strategies buys Oregon agency

Risk Strategies Co. said Thursday it has bought Fournier Group Inc., a Portland, Oregon-based commercial insurance and personal lines agency that specializes in coverage for the aviation, entertainment and hospitality sectors.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to its website, Fournier has five offices and about 50 employees.

Earlier this week, Boston-based Risk Strategies, which is the trading name of RSC Insurance Brokerage Inc., bought Cranford, New Jersey-based Meeker Sharkey Associates LLC, which does business as Meeker Sharkey & Hurley.

The commercial and personal lines brokerage has about 25 employees, according to its website.
