Marsh names Sartain head of US, Canada specialty

Marsh LLC on Monday appointed Michelle Sartain, head of its U.S. financial and professional lines division, to lead its specialty business in the United States of Canada.
The move comes about two weeks after the previous head of U.S. and Canada specialty, Pat Donnelly, was named president of Marsh U.S. and Canada in a wider management shakeup. Ms. Sartain’s replacement as head of U.S. FINPRO “will be announced in due course,” a Marsh spokeswoman said in an email.
New York-based Ms. Sartain will take on her new role on Jan. 1, Marsh said in a statement. She will oversee the broker’s aviation, construction, energy and power, FINPRO, credit specialties, marine, private equity and mergers and acquisitions, and transactional risk business in the region.
She will report to Lucy Clarke, London-based president of Marsh’s specialty and global placement divisions.
A longtime Marsh broker and leader, Ms. Sartain was named head of U.S. FINPRO in 2019.
