School district sues Gallagher over insurer selection, commissions

The Osceola County, Florida, School District has filed a lawsuit accusing broker Gallagher Benefit Services of recommending a health insurance plan that left the self-insured district with sizable uncovered medical bills, while the broker pocketed $4 million in supplemental commissions from insurers, reports Florida Politics. Gallagher is seeking to dismiss the lawsuit, filed in federal court in Orlando, Florida.
