Gallagher names global energy director

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said Thursday it has named Stefan Szulc as executive director of its global energy practice.
Mr. Szulc, based in Denver, was most recently senior vice president with NFP Corp., according to his LinkedIn account.
Gallagher said in its statement Mr. Szulc will work closely with the practice’s managing director, Mike Hogue.
It said Mr. Szulc has expertise in specialty insurance coverages for renewable energy projects that facilitate project financing, including technology performance insurance, tax indemnities and alternative risk solutions.

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. Inc. has appointed Simon Behagg as chief executive of its U.K.-based reinsurance broking business Gallagher Re, effective February, Reinsurance News reports. Mr. Behagg will succeed Rupert Swallow, the incumbent CEO of Gallagher Re, which was previously Capsicum Reinsurance Brokers LLP. Mr. Behagg has been the chief operating officer at Gallagher Re since 2014.
