Daniel J. Kaufman named president of Burns & Wilcox

H.W. Kaufman Group said Thursday it has promoted Daniel J. Kaufman, chief operating officer of its Burns & Wilcox Ltd. wholesale broker and underwriting manager subsidiary, to president of the unit.
Mr. Kaufman was preceded in this role by his father, H.W. Kaufman President and CEO Alan Jay Kaufman, and by his late grandfather, Herbert W. Kaufman, who founded the company.
In his new role, Mr. Kaufman will have leadership responsibility for Burns & Wilcox and its growth in the United States, the company said in a statement.
He will continue to serve as H.W. Kaufman Group’s executive vice president, overseeing the company’s information technology, marketing and compliance departments.
