Gazprom threatens to stop gas supplies to Moldova

Russia-based energy company Gazprom PJSC has threatened to stop natural gas supplies to Moldova within 48 hours if the country fails to pay its debt of approximately 1.3 billion Moldovan lei ($74 million) for recent deliveries, SeeNews reported citing Mold-Street and broadcaster NTV. Gazprom has a contract with gas utility company JSC Moldovagaz. Moldova sources gas from Russia as it has no gas deposits of its own.
