San Francisco officials say that they secured a $5.3 million settlement from DoorDash for not spending a minimum amount on health care benefits for its workers who made deliveries in the city between 2016 and 2020, the Associated Press reports. A San Francisco ordinance requires employers with 20 or more workers to spend a minimum amount on health care benefits per covered employee and to provide sick leave to all employees in the city.
