Soaring commercial liability insurance rates are now threatening Canadian commercial establishments like bars and restaurants already hurt by the COVID-19 pandemic and related restrictions, Global News reported. Businesses have reported rate increases of as much as 600% in the province of Alberta, as insurers are wary of covering risks associated with live music venues and the pandemic.
