No Surprises Act interim rule requires insurers to report on costs

The Biden administration has issued a new interim final rule as part of the No Surprises Act that requires private insurers to report prescription drug and health coverage costs, reports Becker’s Hospital Review. Under the rule, health plans, health insurance issuers offering group or individual coverage and health benefits plans for federal employees must submit information on prescription drug and other healthcare spending annually to the government.
