Pulp Fiction

Movie director Quentin Tarantino is getting into the burgeoning nonfungible tokens market, but Miramax is having none of it.

The film production and distribution company has sued the director for copyright infringement for selling NFTs based on his original handwritten script of the screenplay for “Pulp Fiction”, his 1994 classic, according to Reuters.

Miramax still owns the rights to the movie and the sale interfered with its own plans to cash in on the market for art stored on digital ledgers, the news service reported.

According to Reuters, Mr. Tarantino’s lawyers said the director retained the right to publish his screenplay in his contract with Miramax.
