Costa Rica’s National System of Conservation Areas has closed the Turrialba Volcano National Park until at least Nov. 19 due to increased volcanic activity, The Tico Times reported. The national park was closed on Nov. 3 after a small eruption at Turrialba Volcano. The park reopened in December 2020 after being closed since 2012 due to increased volcanic activity and moderate-sized eruptions.
