Cyber insurtech Coalition Inc. said Wednesday it has named a former Berkshire Hathaway Group executive as head of insurance infrastructure and actuarial science, a new position.
San Francisco-based Coalition said Dovid Tkatch was formerly chief actuary and executive vice president at Berkshire Hathaway Guard Insurance Cos., where he was responsible for the company’s actuarial, regulatory compliance and state filings unit.
In his new position, Mr. Tkatch will manage pricing, reserving, capital requirements, regulatory compliance, state filings and interactions with reinsurers, Coalition said in its statement.
Joshua Motta is co-founder and CEO of San Francisco-based Coalition Inc., which provides cyber liability insurance and security to organizations in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to Coalition, Mr. Motta was a senior executive and head of special projects at Cloudflare Inc., a web infrastructure and security company, following roles at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., the CIA, and Microsoft Inc., among others.
