Covid pandemic driving purchase of extra health cover, Aflac survey finds

Nearly half, or 44%, of employees purchased additional health coverage because of the coronavirus pandemic, according to a survey from Aflac Inc., reports Becker’s Hospital Review. The survey by the Columbus, Georgia-based provider of supplemental insurance, found that those who tested positive for Covid-19 were far more likely to expand their health benefits, including life, hospital and critical illness insurance.
