Ecuador’s largest bank falls victim to cyber attack

A recent cyber attack over the weekend hit Ecuador’s largest private bank Banco Pichincha CA, forcing it to suspend a part of its network in order to curb the spread of the attack to other systems, Bleeping Computer reported. The bank’s online banking portals, apps, digital channels and ATMs stopped working as a result of the network shutdown.
