Internet firm sues Netflix for high traffic from ‘Squid Game’

South Korean internet service provider SK Broadband Inc. has sued U.S.-based streaming entertainment company Netflix Inc., seeking costs for increased network traffic and maintenance work as viewership soars with several popular Netflix productions, including Squid Game, The National reported. SK estimates Netflix’s network usage fee at 27.2 billion South Korean won ($23 million) for 2020 alone.
