Florida insurers called to offer patient access to medical records

Insurers in Florida would be required to provide patients with a free copy of their complete medical record under a proposal presented to members of a state health insurance advisory panel, according to Florida Politics. The Florida Health Insurance Advisory Board was asked to consider several potential changes to present to the Legislature for consideration in the 2022 session. Insurer representatives on the board voiced opposition to the proposal.
