Nigerian energy company Aiteo Eastern Exploration and Production Co. Ltd. has sued Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria for more than $2 billion over misrepresentation of the ownership of oil wells that were sold by Shell to Aiteo, Energy Voice reported. Aiteo accuses Shell of mis-selling an oil mining license in 2015 that included six wells which Shell had already transferred to the state-owned energy company Nigerian National Petroleum Corp. in 2009 for a considerable value.
