Beth Thurston, head of U.K. management liability at Marsh LLC, said that new entrants in the U.K. directors and officers liability insurance market will help in moderating rate hikes in the second half of the years and into 2022, Commercial Risk reported. Along with COVID-19, insurers are also increasingly factoring in D&O buyers’ environmental, social, and governance and diversity and inclusion efforts to calculate their risk exposure.
