Tokio Marine to stop insuring new coal mining projects from October

Japanese insurer Tokio Marine Holdings Inc. will reportedly stop underwriting and funding new coal mining projects used for generating thermal power in Japan and other nations starting in October, Asia Insurance Review reported citing Nikkei. With this, Tokio Marine will become the first Japanese insurer to actually exit the business.
