Sanlam grows presence in Mali with new acquisition

South Africa-based insurer Sanlam Ltd. has signed a mutual transfer and acquisition deal with insurer Groupe NSIA to acquire the latter’s nonlife and life insurance operations in Mali and strengthen its presence in the West African nation, Atlas Magazine reported. Additionally, Sanlam will transfer its nonlife business in Congo and Guinea and life insurance businesses in Togo and Gabon to NSIA.
