German reinsurer Hannover Re SE said that the current market conditions necessitate further increases in property and casualty reinsurance prices at the upcoming January 2022 renewals, Captive Insurance Times reported. Hannover Re predicts that inflation expectations, large losses from natural catastrophes, and low interest rates along with future uncertainties around cyber attacks and pandemics will drive reinsurance prices up.
