Majority of Generali’s board favor another term for CEO Donnet

Italian insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA said that more than two-thirds of its board is in favor of re-appointing the incumbent chief executive Philippe Donnet in his role, Yahoo Finance reported citing Reuters. Mr. Donnet’s re-appointment has been challenged by two of the insurer’s leading investors – Italian construction magnate Francesco Gaetano Caltagirone and Italian eyewear conglomerate Luxottica Group SpA’s Founder Leonardo Del Vecchio.
