BlackMatter ransomware group hacks into Olympus’ IT network

The BlackMatter ransomware group reportedly attacked Japanese digital reprography and optics manufacturer Olympus Corp.’s IT systems on Sept. 8, forcing the company to suspend its data transfers, ThreatPost reported. The group attacked Olympus’ European, Middle East and African computer network.
